WILL THERE BE A LASTING PEACE: Rev.Babatunde Ezekiel Ajibola

We should all begin to ask ourselves what exactly is the root of the problem in the Middle East. Is it deeper than what we have as our point of references. Is the solution going to come from human initiatives, be it political or religion. Is the Pope's visit anything near the solution. One reliable source from which we can get the clue is the Bible. First of all, could we say of this Pope's visit to the Middle East as that spoken about in the book of Isaiah 52 verse 10;"How beautiful upon the mountain are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!" Definitely no! Why? Because the Pope is not taking the gospel to the Middle East but politics. However, when the Prince of Peace, our Lord Jesus Christ that has purchased the Kingdom by the shedding of His shall come, He shall establish the reign of peace on the earth. "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful,Counsellor, The Mighty God,The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgement and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.Isaiah 9:6-7
